Bring a pot of salted water with sweet potato cubes to a boil. Let them cook for about 15–20 minutes or until they're nice and tender.

Drain out the water, then mash the sweet potatoes directly in the pot using a potato masher or an immersion blender.

Roughly chop up the pre-cooked chestnuts, then stir them into the mashed sweet potatoes.

Mix in the butter and vegetable broth. Sprinkle in some salt and pepper, then stir everything until it reaches the texture you like.
