Sweet potato chestnuts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Mashed Base

01 - Sweet potatoes
02 - Cooked chestnuts
03 - Unsalted butter
04 - Vegetable broth

→ Seasoning

05 - Pepper
06 - Salt

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a pot of salted water with sweet potato cubes to a boil. Let them cook for about 15–20 minutes or until they're nice and tender.
02 - Drain out the water, then mash the sweet potatoes directly in the pot using a potato masher or an immersion blender.
03 - Roughly chop up the pre-cooked chestnuts, then stir them into the mashed sweet potatoes.
04 - Mix in the butter and vegetable broth. Sprinkle in some salt and pepper, then stir everything until it reaches the texture you like.
05 - Check the flavor and tweak the seasoning if needed. Serve it warm.

# Notes:

01 - Can easily be made vegan by swapping butter with plant-based alternatives.
02 - Keeps fresh in the fridge for around 3–4 days.
