# Ingredients:

→ For the French Toast

01 - 4 slices of thick bread (like challah or brioche)
02 - 2 eggs
03 - 1 tablespoon of sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
05 - 120 ml of milk
06 - 1/2 tablespoon of butter (for cooking)

→ For the Toppings

07 - 1 cup (about 150 g) of fresh strawberries, sliced
08 - 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup (optional)
09 - 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a shallow dish and mix the eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth and blended.
02 - Warm up a non-stick skillet or griddle on medium heat, then melt the butter in it.
03 - Dip each piece of bread into the egg mix, making sure both sides soak it up well.
04 - Put the soaked bread slices onto the hot pan and cook them for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they turn golden and crispy.
05 - When done cooking, take the toast out of the pan and keep it warm while you handle the toppings.
06 - Cut up the fresh strawberries and set them aside for later.
07 - In a small pot, gently heat the balsamic vinegar. Add honey or maple syrup if you'd like, and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until it thickens up a bit.
08 - Lay the French toast on some plates, top them with the strawberries, and drizzle the balsamic sauce over everything. Serve it right away!
