Soft Homemade Spice Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main ingredients

01 - 250 g all-purpose flour
02 - 200 g honey
03 - 100 g brown sugar
04 - 1 packet baking powder
05 - 1 teaspoon baking soda
06 - 1 tablespoon gingerbread spice mix (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, anise, cloves)
07 - 25 cl warm milk
08 - 1 pinch salt

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up your oven to 160°C (fan-forced). Grease your loaf pan with butter and dust with flour, or line it with parchment paper.
02 - Gently warm the honey until it's runny. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, salt and spices in a bowl. Pour in the warm honey and milk, then stir until you've got a smooth mixture.
03 - Pour your batter into the pan and bake for about 45-50 minutes. Stick a knife in the middle to check if it's done - the knife should come out clean.
04 - Let it cool a bit before taking it out of the pan. For the best taste, wait a full day before eating so the flavors can really blend together.

# Notes:

01 - Want something extra tasty? Throw in some chopped candied orange or crushed hazelnuts.
02 - Your gingerbread will stay fresh for many days if you wrap it in plastic wrap or keep it in an airtight container.
03 - Tastes amazing plain, with butter, or even paired with foie gras.
