# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons of crushed black pepper
02 - 2 beef steaks (like ribeye or tenderloin)
03 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
04 - Salt, adjusted to your taste

→ For the Sauce

05 - 2 tablespoons of vegetable broth
06 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
07 - 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
08 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
09 - 1 tablespoon butter
10 - Salt and black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Use a paper towel to pat the steaks dry. Sprinkle salt on both sides, then cover generously with the crushed pepper.
02 - Take a pestle and mortar or the back of a spoon to crush the black pepper into coarse pieces.
03 - Put a large frying pan on medium-high heat and pour in the olive oil.
04 - Place the steaks in the hot pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, tweaking the time for your preference.
05 - Take the steaks out of the pan and let them sit for 5 minutes.
06 - Pour the vegetable broth into the same pan and let it simmer while scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
07 - Stir in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and garlic powder. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens up a bit.
08 - Mix in the butter, then season the sauce with salt and pepper to your liking.
09 - Put each steak on its own plate.
10 - Pour the creamy pepper sauce over the steaks and serve immediately.
