Golden Vanilla Donuts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the dough

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tablespoon baking powder
03 - 1/4 cup sugar
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 1 large egg
06 - 3/4 cup milk
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
08 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
09 - Vegetable oil for frying

→ For coating

10 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Grab a big mixing bowl and whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
02 - Toss the egg, milk, vanilla, and melted butter into the dry mixture. Stir it all up until smooth.
03 - On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough for about 2 minutes. Then roll it out to about half-an-inch thick.
04 - Use a cutter or a glass to make circles. Re-roll the scraps and cut out more until you’re done.
05 - Warm up the vegetable oil in a frying pan or deep fryer to about 350°F (175°C).
06 - Carefully drop the dough rounds into the hot oil. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown. Take them out and let them drain on paper towels.
07 - While they’re still warm, roll them in powdered sugar until they’re fully covered.
