Pour in the syrup, and gently mash everything together using a muddler.

Cut half the lime into slices and squeeze the other half into the glass. Toss everything in.

Rinse the mint leaves and drop them in a glass.

Add the crushed ice and pour the sparkling water. Stir lightly with a long spoon, and enjoy right away.
