# Ingredients:

→ Meats

01 - 1.1 lbs (500g) minced meat blend (beef and pork)
02 - 1.1 lbs (500g) pork, cut into chunks
03 - 1.1 lbs (500g) smoky bacon, finely diced
04 - 1.1 lbs (500g) beef for stew

→ Vegetables

05 - 1.1 lbs (500g) yellow bell peppers, diced up
06 - 28.2 oz (800g) whole peeled tomatoes in a can
07 - 1.1 lbs (500g) red bell peppers, chopped small
08 - 1.1 lbs (500g) onions, sliced into thin half-moons

→ Sauce and Seasonings

09 - 1 cup (250ml) hot sauce, Amora-type or similar
10 - 1 cup (250ml) BBQ sauce, skewer-style or with a tomato base
11 - 2 tbsp neutral vegetable oil (sunflower or canola)
12 - 250g fresh liquid cream
13 - Chopped fresh parsley for topping
14 - Salt, black pepper, and a dash of paprika or chili for heat

# Instructions:

01 - Fire up your oven to 350°F (180°C), fan mode. Dice the bacon into tiny cubes. Chop up the peppers and slice those onions thinly into half-rings.
02 - Heat oil in a large casserole dish or roasting pan (it should hold at least 9 liters). On high heat, toss in the bacon, onions, and minced meat. Stir-fry it all for about 2–3 minutes.
03 - Crush the canned tomatoes a bit in a big mixing bowl. Stir in the BBQ sauce, hot sauce, and cream. Add salt, pepper, and a touch of spice to taste.
04 - Turn off the heat on the stovetop and toss the stew beef, pork chunks, peppers, and your sauce into the casserole dish. Stir well so it all comes together.
05 - Cover the casserole dish with its lid and place it on the second lowest rack of the oven. Let it bake for two hours. In the last stretch, take off the lid and stir the dish to thicken the sauce.
06 - Garnish with fresh parsley. Pair with rice, pasta, baguette, or any bread you like.

# Notes:

01 - Feeds about 12 if served buffet-style or 6 as a main course.
02 - This tastes even better if cooked the day before and reheated slowly.
03 - Make sure your casserole dish holds at least 9 liters to fit everything neatly.
04 - Slow oven cooking makes the meat incredibly tender, and the flavors meld together perfectly.
