Wrap the tofu in a clean cloth or paper towels, then place something heavy on top. Leave it for at least 10 minutes to squeeze out extra water.

Cut the tofu into sticks about 2.5 cm wide once it's pressed.

Stir cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper together in a shallow dish. Dip each tofu stick into the mixture so it's evenly coated.

Pour vegetable oil into a large pan and warm it over medium heat. Cook the tofu sticks for 3-4 minutes per side, flipping when golden and crispy. Take them out of the pan and set aside.

In a small bowl, blend together Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, paprika, and cayenne (if using) until smooth.

Arrange the crispy tofu sticks on a serving plate and pair with the honey mustard sauce for dipping.
