Coconut bites condensed milk (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 220 ml sweetened condensed milk
02 - 2 large egg whites
03 - ½ tsp almond or vanilla extract (optional)
04 - 400 g sweetened shredded coconut
05 - ¼ tsp salt

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 325°F (160°C) and let it heat up.
02 - Combine the shredded coconut, condensed milk, and your chosen flavoring in a large bowl.
03 - In another large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the egg whites with the salt until they're stiff, but not dry.
04 - Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the coconut mixture until everything is blended.
05 - Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the dough, roll into balls, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing by an inch.
06 - Bake for 25 to 27 minutes, or until the coconut balls turn golden brown.
07 - Let them rest on the baking sheet for around 10 minutes, then transfer onto a rack until fully cooled.

# Notes:

01 - You can use just one tablespoon of dough to make smaller coconut treats.
02 - Try adding chopped nuts or chocolate chips in the middle for a twist.
