Turn on the grill or heat up a pan to medium-high.

Sprinkle both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.

Place the patties on the grill or pan and cook each side for about 4-5 minutes, or until they're done the way you like.

During the last minute of cooking, put a slice of goat cheese on each patty and let it soften.

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or pan for a bit of crunch.

Spread plenty of pear chutney on the bottom bun. Then layer on a piece of lettuce and the cooked patty with melted cheese.

Top it with the other half of the bun and serve while it's hot.
