01 -
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to preheat. Grab a baking dish, about 9 x 13 inches, and lightly grease it with butter or oil so nothing sticks.
02 -
Use a big mixing bowl and combine the pork, beef, breadcrumbs, milk, the egg, Worcestershire sauce, shallot, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well using your hands.
03 -
Press the meat mixture down evenly to cover the bottom of your greased dish. Then spread the mashed potatoes on top to fully coat the meat layer.
04 -
Sprinkle the mashed potatoes with crumbled bacon, followed by a layer of shredded cheddar cheese. Finish it off with chopped chives for a fresh touch.
05 -
Slide the dish into the oven and bake for about 35-40 minutes. Check to see if the meat is done and the cheese is bubbling with a golden color.
06 -
Take the dish out of the oven and let everything sit for a few minutes to soak up the flavors. Cut into portions and enjoy your meal!
