Warm up the olive oil in a big pot over medium heat. Toss in the beef pieces and brown them on all sides for around 5 minutes. Take them out and set aside.

Pop the onion, garlic, and bell pepper into the same pot. Stir them around for about 5 minutes until they're soft. Add in the sweet potato chunks and cook a couple more minutes.

Sprinkle on the cumin, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat the vegetables in the spices. Then pour in the diced tomatoes and beef broth. Add the browned beef back in, lower the heat, cover it up, and let it gently cook for 45 minutes or so until the beef is tender and the sweet potatoes are nice and soft.

Check the stew and tweak the seasoning with more salt, pepper, or extra spices if you want. Enjoy it warm!
